What if we could lift up some of our most vulnerable populations—individuals facing barriers to employment and seniors in care facilities—with just one mission? That’s the driving force behind Dwyer Workforce Development. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to individuals who lack opportunity and aspire to pursue a career in the healthcare industry, alleviate a severe healthcare workforce shortage, and improve the lives of seniors.
Dwyer Workforce Development’s nonprofit healthcare training program gives job seekers—who become our Dwyer Scholars—all the tools they need to pursue life-changing careers in the senior healthcare industry and invest in their own professional success.
We offer person-centered healthcare education and training as a path towards employment and economic stability for our Dwyer Scholars—helping them achieve their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certifications at no cost. Scholars continue to work with our case management team to create an individualized professional development plan to further grow in their careers. We continue to support Scholars in achieving advanced certifications and/or other healthcare career options.
