Baltimore nonprofit Dwyer Workforce Development has signed an agreement to bring its programs to Kansas, the organization announced this week. The organization, co-founded by CFG Bank CEO Jack Dwyer, will be working with two Kansas nonprofits to address the state’s shortage of senior care workers. The program with Justice Matters and Kansas WorkforceONE will offer health care training, case management, job placement and other services such as housing, child care and transportation support as needed. The program is starting with 25 candidates in Douglas County, Kansas, then is expected to grow into 16 more counties, according to a release from the groups. Dwyer Workforce now has programs in Maryland, Florida, Texas and Kansas.
