Nearly every workplace has plenty of managers. But far fewer have true leaders.

That’s why the Baltimore Business Journal has chosen “Leading the Way” as the theme for this year’s Enterprising Women event as we shine a spotlight on women executives and business owners who have used their positions to make their companies, employees and communities better.

We’ll hear from five Baltimore-area women executives who are true leaders at their organizations as part of a panel discussion that will highlight the Enterprising Women event on Thursday, Aug. 4. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Columbus Center/IMET on Pratt Street in downtown Baltimore.

Besides the panel discussion, we’ll also celebrate our Enterprising Women of Excellence honorees and reveal the ranking for our Lists of the fastest-growing women-owned businesses and the largest women-owned businesses in the region.

Below, learn a little bit more about the five panelists prior to the event.
