Why Focus on Improving Healthcare?

The U.S. is facing a healthcare workforce crisis. With nearly 90% of Americans seeking some form of healthcare each year, the demand for skilled healthcare professionals is skyrocketing. Yet, many facilities are not equipped to handle this reality, compromising both quality care and the dignity of patients.

Our workforce development efforts help solve the staffing crisis by creating clear pathways for under-resourced individuals who aspire to pursue a career in healthcare. This stronger staff presence means better outcomes for the patients our Dwyer Scholars care for and healthier communities. It’s a mission that keeps on giving—for everyone.
