Dwyer Workforce Development is moving its headquarters from Baltimore Peninsula to the Village of Cross Keys to accommodate its growing staff as the nonprofit continues to expand nationwide.
The three-year-old nonprofit this week is packing up to move into 10,000 square feet in the Quadrangle at the Village of Cross Keys, where it will be the largest office tenant. The group is focused on health care training and is on track to add several new jobs in Maryland, Texas and Florida in the coming month or so — with more growth expected in early 2025.
The organization was co-founded by Jack Dwyer, CEO of CFG Bank, and the firm had been located in the bank’s new headquarters at 2455 House St. at Baltimore Peninsula. But the nonprofit’s rapid growth sparked an immediate need for more space.
“We were bursting at the seams,” CEO Barb Clapp said.
The new offices are designed for a workforce of 50 and there is even room for more growth if needed, she added.
The lease deal is the latest by Cross Keys owners Caves Valley Partners, which is overseeing a massive overhaul of the decades-old landmark originally developed by Jim Rouse. Towson-based Caves Valley acquired the retail and office portion of the Village of Cross Keys in 2020 for $27 million and has set about to restock it with new retail and office tenants as they remodeled and expanded the aging complexes.
